It is the brainchild of our Managing Director, Dr. J. Ajeeth Prasath Jain, who has 33 years of rich experience in this field, serving as the Senior Principal in Bhavans Rajaji Vidhyashram (under the trust of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan) for a significant portion of it. During this time, he has also inspected more than 300 CBSE schools to validate their requests for re-affiliation, extension/up-gradation of affiliation, additional subject inclusion and in multiple instances to investigate complaints filed against schools. IT AUDIT

21st-century schools are absolutely IT driven. The day to day activities of the schools right from the issuing of application forms, students’ data like profiles, marks, progress reports, attendance etc., and the other accounts of the school are being handled by using high-end computers. LIFE SKILL ASSESSMENT FOR STUDENTS

Life skills are skills imparted to children to enhance positive behaviour and to help them deal with challenges in an effective way. It is vital to measure these skills which have a direct impact on a student’s behaviour and mindset. One of the many ways through which life skills can be assessed is through standardized psychometric questionnaires. These questionnaires are similar to a survey wherein it measures personality characteristics using a set of questions. The three key life skills which will be tested are Self-esteem, Empathy, and Locus of Control.

Self-esteem is a measure of a child’s self-worth and it is important because it has huge implications on the student’s personality and belief system, academic performance, and participation in extra-curricular activities. This will be measured using Rosenberg’s self-esteem questionnaire which is a 10-item scale.
Empathy is the extent to which a student can relate to other’s feelings and act accordingly. As it is the key element of emotional intelligence and helps to co-exist with other people and work together as a team, it is essential to measure empathy in schools. This will be measured using Toronto Empathy Questionnaire which is a 16-item scale.
Locus of Control is the measure of the degree to which a student believes they have control over an event or an outcome. It is always essential for the child to have a balanced LoC, to attribute life events appropriately and lead a successful life. This will be measured using Rotter’s Locus of Control Scale which is a 29-item scale.

At the end of the psychometric assessment, every student’s emotional and social skills on these three dimensions can be quantified and interpreted accordingly. An auto-generated report about every student at an individual level, class level, and school level will be one of the rewarding perks of this assessment through which the management will be able to profile students. This helps the school to make meticulous class wise or gender wise comparisons.
